Neighborhood House
A safe and secure place of welcome for our unhoused neighbors to refresh, restore, and settle on Sunday morning.
Neighborhood House (an ACM program) provides the unhoused community with breakfast and lunch and a safe place to get out of the cold or heat on Sunday mornings. It is conveniently located central to other outreach support resources for the unhouse community in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Volunteers known as “hosts” supply, prepare, and share gifts of a hot breakfast and a bag lunch. Our goal is to serve the unhoused and build community among Allentown congregations, other community groups, and individuals. Hosting opportunities are always available.
Shellie Fritchman serves as the Neighborhood House Coordinator, managing supplies/food, etc., and working alongside hosts and neighbors. For more information on how you or your congregation can volunteer or to donate to Neighborhood House, please contact her using the link below. We hope you will join in serving the unhoused community of Allentown through Neighborhood House.
