Annual Peach 🍑 Festival
A fun filled and delicious tradition at St. Timothy for many years, our peach festival is a neighborhood event where people can gather on a Wednesday evening in late August to enjoy a free bowl of vanilla ice cream topped with fresh cut peaches. Held at the Welcome Worship Center pavilion on the Land of Promise (across the street from the church) there are crafts for kids, lawn games such as cornhole, a plant sale, and live music for all to enjoy. Â The net proceeds benefit the nonprofits from the summer WoW services who are in attendance. Check our Coming Events for the exact date and details. Everyone is always welcome to join us!Â

Quilting Group
The quilters group began making quilts in 1990 and has been in continuous ministry since then. Quilts were originally made for Lutheran World Relief. Around 2000 the group decided to create quilts for local organizations such as the Red Cross, Family Promise, etc. The group now make quilts and blankets entirely from donated materials. The group is open to anyone interested in learning how to quilt. No prior skill or experience is required. Quilting is open to both men and women. The quilters meet the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 10 am in the church lounge. WoW! (Worship on Wednesdays)
WoW began holding summer worship on Wednesdays in 2013, just before St. Timothy formed its own praise team. The idea was to partner with praise teams from area churches to offer informal worship outdoors. Using the Welcome Worship Center using the pavilion on the Land of Promise located across the street from the church, we offer worship on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Ten services are held from mid-June through mid-August. It’s a great way to worship outside in the middle of the week, hear music from a variety of musicians and make new friends.
A local nonprofit that is making a positive contribution to the community is featured at each service. A representative briefly describes the mission and how volunteers and monetary contributions can help. The offering for that service goes directly to the nonprofit. Many local organizations have told their stories over the years and have benefited. A list of nonprofits follows the photos below.
If the weather is unfavorable, we simply hold the service inside in the air-conditioned church! Watch our “Coming Events” for more details on this year’s services.Â
